This notice explains what Thukela Metering (Pty) Ltd does with the personal information you give us through this website, as required by the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Who we are
Thukela Metering (Pty) Ltd, Reg. No. 2015/055277/07, is the responsible party for this website. You can reach our Information Officer at info@thukelametering.co.za or on (012) 379 2760, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30.
What we collect
Only what you type into the quote request form:
- your name, and an email address or phone number
- the building or suburb, if you add it, and any note you write
- the building you set up: type, number of units and the metering you picked
With the request we also record which page you sent it from and how long the form was open. We use these only to filter out automated spam.
Why we use it
To answer your request and prepare a quote, and to follow up on it. We do not add you to marketing lists, and we do not sell or share your details with anyone else.
Where it is kept and for how long
Your request is stored in our own billing platform, where only the staff who handle quotes can see it. We keep it while we deal with your request. If you do not become a client, we delete it within 12 months.
Cookies and tracking
This website uses no cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and loads nothing from other companies. Your browser remembers a few display settings for this site (such as the motion and lite settings, and whether you have visited before). These stay on your device and are never sent to us.
The building figures on the site come from our own billing platform. They are totals and contain no client or personal details.
Your rights
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, or to stop using it. Email info@thukelametering.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable time.
If you are not happy with how we handled your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator: inforegulator.org.za.
